Until recently, I was not able to combine wedding photography with my activities as a film director of commercials, photographer of people in film and fashion and owner of a fantastic venue. But now, here I am. Let’s get together and take pictures to cherish. To me photographs become more important as years go by. When that 6-year-old is suddenly an adult or when that dear friend or parent left us, that is when we open that box or that album with pictures, in search of connection. Think of it !
I’m always intrigued by how something as invisible as light can create such a strong mood. People find my style cinematographic. My pictures are often moody and suggest stories. Maybe that is because I am a film director. My work as a director of commercials was honored and awarded over the years. I am based in Brussels, Belgium, Europe. I spend a year soaking up the film industry in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and for more than a decade I was working in Paris. I have directed commercials internationally since the nineties when commercials were brilliant, creative, and inspiring. Photography allows me to work on personal, meaningful, and long-lasting visual projects. This website is a portfolio for my work as photographer of people at weddings and other celebrations of love. Growing up, I wanted to become a Cherokee, a sailor, or a wanderer. I became all of them in one. I live outside Brussels, with my loved ones, Kris and our son Charlie. Two adult daughters of Kris spread their wings and already left the nest. We live on a piece of wild natural land. The place has been a private recreational site since 1945. It’s called Tombeek Plage. It’s a venue we rent out for parties that make people dance (I love dancing) and bring families together around good food, creating memories for life.
